Yes, I did respond to you right away. See screenshot of thread below. I'm running a business. We're all running businesses. I made plans to present on Thursday 1/19 at 9am because you offered that as an option. I responded that I would be there and then heard nothing back from you - until today. In the meantime I rearranged my entire schedule, asked another manager to work on her day off, and canceled other appointments. Am I wrong to be upset? This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened. I attended nearly every in-person meeting (driving 2 1/2 hours each way) even on the day Microsoft canceled us (and no one told us). The date of the final presentation (Dec 14th) was a last minute change you informed us about on November 22nd - too late for me to make necessary arrangements for coverage at work. We all thought the final presentations were on Dec 8th - because that's what the calendar said. You don't even know how upset we were because one of our cohort members removed you from the thread - the thread where we discussed what an unorganized mess this has been. Again - we're people running businesses - and I feel there has been a complete disregard for my time - the opposite of supporting small business.
I really did appreciate the opportunity, and I worked hard these past 6 months. I went through all the learning modules twice, did the exercises, and put together a growth plan that excites and motivates me. The THRIVE program has lit a fire under me, and I'm once again looking to the future with clear goals, and new tools to achieve those goals. For that I am grateful.
I am unable to attend on Tuesday 1/17.
